• LED retrofit of pole heads and wall packs. We replace old metal halide and high-pressure sodium fixtures with LED. The fixture load changes, so we check the circuit, photocell and pole before we start. Code reference: NEC Article 410, luminaires. LED retrofit kits must be listed and installed according to their instructions.
• New poles and bases. Pole foundations, conduit, wiring and fixtures for new lots or added coverage. New poles and their foundations must meet Florida Building Code wind-load requirements, including the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) rules that apply in Miami-Dade and Broward, and the building department may require engineered drawings. Circuits run outdoors to the poles follow NEC Article 225.
• Pole and fixture repair and relamp. Failed fixtures, damaged arms and brackets, and poles that lost power. Structural pole or foundation damage may need an engineer, and we tell you when it does.

• Underground and feeder troubleshooting and repair. When a row of lights is out, the problem is often in the wiring, not the fixture. We trace the circuit from the panel to the pole, using a meter and, where it helps, a thermal camera. Burial depth and protection of underground wiring follow NEC Section 300.5.
• Photocells, timers and lighting controls. Lights that stay on in daytime or never come on. New exterior lighting, and many lighting replacement projects, must meet the Florida Energy Code's exterior lighting control rules, such as automatic shutoff in daylight and automatic dimming late at night. We confirm what applies to your property. Motion-sensor and dimming controls are options where they suit the property.
• Storm-damaged poles and fixtures. We replace fixtures, arms and poles damaged by wind or storms. Damaged poles and foundations may need an engineer, and a permit may apply, so we check before we start.
• Maintenance program. Periodic checks of fixtures, lenses, photocells and drivers, with repair or replacement as needed. We set the check schedule with you for your property, and we do not promise response times.
• Light-level and coverage concerns. Dark corners, uneven light, entrances and walkways. When a photometric plan is needed, we coordinate with your engineer or designer and install to their plan.

Our equipment: boom lift and scissor lifts

We own a boom lift and have access to scissor lifts. That lets us reach pole heads, wall packs and canopy fixtures without climbing the pole, and without waiting on a rental for most jobs. Access is still planned at the site visit: parked cars, traffic, overhead lines and pole height all affect the setup.
